As the arctic weather approaches Austin County, local school districts are closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Bellville ISD, Brazos ISD, and Sealy ISD have all released statements informing the community about their ongoing efforts to keep an eye on the weather conditions and potential impacts. All three districts have emphasized that they will be posting updates on their respective Facebook pages and websites, as well as using their phone messaging systems to keep the community informed.
Bellville ISD has stated that they are closed on Monday, January 15th, and at this time, all should plan for normal school operations on Tuesday and Wednesday unless further information is shared.
Brazos ISD is currently on a regular school operating schedule and will advise the community of any schedule changes that may occur due to the weather.
Sealy ISD is closed on Monday and anticipates that will be the worst day; they will notify the community by noon on Monday if any changes need to be made to Tuesday’s start times. You can view their message to the community HERE.
