The Austin County EMS shared the sad news of the passing of one of their own, Paramedic Michael Dodd. According to the post on the Austin County EMS’ Facebook Page, Dodd dedicated himself to helping others. He started seeking his EMS career in high school where he was able to complete the necessary training to become an EMT. Following that he went to college and successfully became a paramedic. Following school, Michael worked with AMR Ambulance Service, spent the last 3 years working at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital where he used his paramedic skills in the ER. He got the opportunity to be a Paramedic with Austin County EMS however he passed away before he could complete his extensive orientation. Michael had always been an intelligent, energetic, well liked person who our staff enjoyed interacting with at the station and in the hospital. Prayers for Paramedic Michael Dodd’s family and friends during their time of loss.
