The story of the Extension Education Club Program in Texas began many years ago. Though its name has changed several times since the first club was organized, its purpose has remained constant—continuing education for women. Over time, this mission has grown to include outreach and service benefiting families and communities across the state. The Texas Extension Education Association, Inc. works with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to strengthen and enrich families through educational programs, leadership development, and community service. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, TEEA is organized into districts, counties, and clubs across Texas. Along with educational outreach, members engage in service projects that directly impact the communities in which they live.

The association’s creed emphasizes the sanctity of the home as a place of love, faith, and devotion. It highlights the importance of teaching responsibility, compassion, and cooperation within families to build citizens who will uphold strong values in community life. Written by former president Mrs. R.M. Almanrode, the creed continues to guide members in their mission of service and education. The banquet celebrated not only milestones and leadership but also the values and mission that have guided TEEA’s work for decades in Austin County and beyond.
