We recognize the importance of these screenings and know that early detection is the key to survival. In an effort to promote regular breast and cervical screenings, the Department of State Health Services, Texas A& M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County and Bellville St. Joseph Health Center will be sponsoring “Friend to Friend” on Thursday, November 20th at the 1st Baptist Church in Sealy, Texas.

Registration will be between 9:30 -10:00 a.m. with program and scheduling following afterwards.  The event will include scheduling for a free or low cost mammogram, door prizes, free educational services, exhibits and lunch. We want to encourage all women to take advantage of this opportunity.  You must be present at this event to schedule all screenings (breast or pap test). Some STD testing will be available and transportation can be provided if needed.  Please call DSHS at 979-865-5211 or Texas A&M AgriLife at 979-865-2072 to R.S.V.P. for lunch purposes by November 17th.  If transportation is needed, please contact Colorado Valley Transit at 1-800-548-1068.   Please mark your calendar and expect to have a wonderful time.
