Earlier today, Blinn Chancellor Mary Hensley, announced the cancellation of fall sports for Blinn per the NJCAA’s Presidential Advisory Council decision.
The email read:
Dear Blinn College District Faculty, Staff, and Students,
Earlier today, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced that upon the recommendation of the NJCAA’s Presidential Advisory Council and Board of Regents, it has voted to postpone Fall semester intercollegiate sports until the Spring semester. The NJCAA’s updated plan of action for the 2020-21 NJCAA sports seasons is available here.
At Blinn, our top priority remains the health and safety of our employees and students. With this in mind, we fully support the NJCAA’s decision. As we prepare our student-athletes for academic success this Fall semester, we look forward to a great academic year and the opportunity to participate in intercollegiate sports during the Spring semester.
Sincerely,
Mary Hensley, Ed.D.
Chancellor of the Blinn College District
We will keep you apprised as more information continues to be released.
