For this event Emery’s Buffalo Creek Winery in Bellville, Texas, will step back in time, celebrating the iconic style and music of the era. The evening will feature a stunning vintage fashion display, showcasing true 1930s looks, from sundresses to evening gowns, suits, and more. Attendees will be transported to the past as they admire the luxurious fabrics—chiffon, velvet, satin, lace, and even fur—woven into these timeless pieces. The collection will highlight both spring and summer fashions, as well as winter outerwear and elegant day-to-evening ensembles.

 

 

The sounds of the 1930s will fill the air, with Grayson Oliver and talented Sealy High School students performing live 1930s tunes, setting the mood for a magical evening. In addition, guests can enjoy a fascinating display of 1930s automobiles and memorabilia, bringing the era to life.

No vintage evening would be complete without a delicious meal, and guests are in for a treat. Uptown Catering will serve a delectable dinner featuring:
• An array of appetizers
• Salad greens with raspberries and toasted almonds
• Chicken mushroom marsala
• Garlic mashed potatoes
• Grilled zucchini, red onions, and red peppers
• Fresh rolls
• For dessert, guests can choose from lemon bars, cheesecake with berries, cheesecake with Nutella, macarons, or brownies.
• Water and tea will be provided
• For those looking to add something extra, a cash bar with a selection of great wines will be available.

Tickets for this elegant evening are $100 per person, with tables available for 4 or 8 guests. Please note that tables for 4 will be shared with others. Vintage attire is encouraged to make the evening even more special, though it’s certainly not required.
To secure your spot, reservations must be made by February 6, and you can reserve tickets via mail by sending a check, with a note that it is for “A Night in the 1930s,” to the Sealy Area Historical Society at P.O. Box 585, Sealy, TX 77474.

The Sealy Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization focused on preserving and promoting the history of Sealy, Texas, and the surrounding communities. Established in 1983, the society manages the Sealy Historical Park, which features several restored historic buildings and exhibits showcasing the area’s heritage.
Among the notable structures in the park are the 1880 Hackbarth House and the 1920s Bozeman House, which is currently being restored to reflect its original appearance.
