Faith Academy recently celebrated the induction of 17 new members into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) on February 27. This prestigious program focuses on character, scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship through junior high. The inductees were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to their community.
The ceremony began with Mrs. Stacy Woodley, the NJHS Advisor, welcoming all parents and students. Mr. Jake Mayfield led everyone in praise and worship, setting a positive and uplifting tone for the event. Jonah Taake, NHS President and Class of 2023, delivered a heartfelt speech challenging the inductees to continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives. The NJHS President, Dyllan Olivares, conducted the Candle Lighting Ceremony, with the help of other officers, marking the induction of each new member. Finally, Mrs. Claire Westbrook presented each new inductee with their membership certificates.
The new members of the NJHS have already demonstrated their commitment to service and leadership by volunteering at food pantries, church youth group stews, putting flags on graves on Memorial Day, and participating in trash pickups. Their passion for making a difference in their community is a testament to their character and dedication to improving the world around them.
The ceremony was a joyous occasion for all involved, as the newest members signed the NJHS membership book and enjoyed a reception with their parents, teachers, and peers. The induction into the NJHS is a significant achievement and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of each member.
The following students were inducted: Sydney Gillen, Eve Hyslop, Kaleb Jacobs, Paige Landrum, Brooklynn Logan, George Marsh, Austin Morisak, Eli Perez, Smyth Poston, Bryson Stolz, Drake Van do Brunhorst, and Aliyah Wilson from the 6th grade, and Kelton Galle, Riley Heyman, Kayleigh Kendrick, Ellis Lanham, and Michael Wilson from the 8th grade.
Faith Academy is proud to recognize these outstanding students for their achievements and looks forward to their continued success and leadership in the future.
