Description
Join Sika in Sealy as a Logistics Coordinator, supporting accurate, cost-efficient shipments at the plant level. You’ll connect plant operations with Customer Care to keep shipment and product availability information flowing.
What you'll do
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments and regional stock transfers, developing load plans with the Logistics Manager.
- Schedule delivery appointments and outside carriers, following preferred carrier guidelines and monitoring third-party logistics providers.
- Complete daily reporting and update Customer Care on lead times, ready dates, and inventory.
- Assist walk-in customers, order plant supplies, and participate in inventory counts.
- Create purchase orders, receive raw materials, and distribute documentation to accounting.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma required; some college desirable, plus at least two years of dispatching or transportation experience.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, computer literacy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Good verbal and written communication and excellent customer service skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
