Sika is seeking a Production Manager for its new roofing facility in Sealy. In this full-time role, you will oversee safe facility operations, efficient use of resources and operating-unit profitability.
What you'll do
- Direct daily plant operations, plan production schedules and resolve production-floor challenges with manufacturing leadership.
- Establish performance standards for material quality and yield, machine efficiency and downtime analysis.
- Develop and implement production processes and procedures, and oversee manufacturing project implementation.
- Coach, mentor and develop production employees to support team performance and operational objectives.
- Manage personnel matters, including interviewing, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals and adherence to company policies.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related studies, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment; budget management experience is desirable.
- Experience in extrusion and web handling processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, writing and management skills, with the ability to delegate and follow up on timeliness and quality.
