The Sealy Police Department had an unforgettable and successful Blue Santa program this 2023 Christmas season, bringing warmth, joy, and a touch of whimsy to the community. With the support of various partners, including the Grinch and his trusty helper elves, this year’s event was a tremendous success.

One of the highlights of this year’s Blue Santa event was the generous donation from Houser Roofing, which provided a truckload of bicycles to be given away to deserving children. These bicycles brought smiles and excitement to the faces of young recipients, adding an extra layer of holiday magic to the occasion.

 

 

Several local businesses and organizations rallied behind the Sealy Police Department to make this year’s Blue Santa program truly special. The Cheer Factory, Texas Premier Sporting Arms, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, Michael Bauhs, Gulf States Toyota,  Crosby Towing, Tegeler Chevrolet, Walmart Distribution Center, and students from Sealy Junior High, Sealy Elementary, and Selman Elementary and many others came together to contribute toys, gifts, and funds to ensure that families in need experienced the true spirit of the season.

 

 

The Sealy Police Department would also like to express their gratitude to the Abe and Irene Levine Trust and the John R Selman and Maggie B Selman Charitable Trust for their substantial monetary donations, which provided essential support for the 2023 Blue Santa project.

But it wasn’t just businesses and organizations that made this year’s Blue Santa event so remarkable. The Sealy community came together with unwavering dedication to spread joy. A shout-out goes to all the Christmas present wrapping experts who volunteered their time and skills. On Tuesday, December 12th, between 3 pm and 6 pm, Officer Torres hosted a gift wrapping party at the Sealy Police Department, ensuring that every present was beautifully wrapped and ready for distribution.

Adding a delightful twist to the festivities, the Grinch and his helper elves joined in the distribution of presents, bringing smiles, laughter, and a touch of holiday mischief to the event. This unexpected and charming surprise enchanted children and adults alike, making it a day to remember.

The Sealy Police Department’s 2023 Blue Santa event was a true testament to the power of community and the spirit of giving. It not only provided assistance to families in need but also strengthened the bond between the police department and the community they serve.
