AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SEALY, TEXAS, BY DELETING ALL OF CHAPTER 29 THEREOF AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR A NEW CHAPTER 29, PROVIDING STANDARDS FOR THE DOWNTOWN PRESERVATION DISTRICT; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A PENALTY PURSUANT TO SECTION 1-7 OF THE CITY CODE FOR VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISION HEREOF; REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT OR IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.  (This is the first of two readings.)
