A local man has been arrested for stealing road material from a work site along I-10.

Donald Gurecky, 39, of Wallis was arrested the night of April 16, 2020 driving his 18 wheeler gravel truck with a load of stolen material. The material had been stockpiled near San Felipe and was to be used on I-10 construction.

Gurecky was released after posting a $5,000.00 bond.

โ€œWe are expecting other arrests in this matterโ€, Chief Randle said.

โ€œAnyone with information should contact the San Felipe Police Department or the Austin County Sheriffโ€™s office,โ€ Randle added.
