The Buccaneers finished at 137-over par in the two-day tournament, which began Sunday. Concordia University captured the tournament title with an 83-0ver par performance.

Patterson placed third out of 50 golfers after carding an 18-over par.

The Buccaneers were just 10 strokes out of second place heading into Monday’s play.

“As a team, we did a good job of keeping things together for two days,” Patterson said. “There’s always room for improvement, but as a team, I still think we had a pretty strong showing.

“I think I played pretty consistently, and I was pretty happy with how I played. Like the rest of my team, there were a lot of shots I left on the course and I could have played better, but I’m still happy with how I finished overall. I’m happy that I got Blinn’s name some recognition.”

The Blinn men’s and women’s golf teams will host the Blinn Spring Classic April 3-4 at the Brenham Country Club in Brenham. The men will play two rounds of 18 holes, while the women will play one round.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987. For more information, visit www.buccaneersports.com.
