The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Smith County Texas Master Gardeners are hosting their annual online “Bulbs to Blooms” sale Oct. 3-11 and a conference on Oct. 15.

The sale features hardy, hard-to-find and heirloom bulbs plus select trees and shrubs adapted for East and South Texas.

The free Bulbs to Blooms conference will be on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. Oct. 15 is also the day buyers may pick up their purchases. Both the sale and pick up will be at the Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Road.

Greg Grant, AgriLife Extension horticulturist, Smith County, will be the conference speaker and will present “From Arcadia to Arcadia: Grannies, Kissing Cousins and Narcissus.”

Bulbs to Blooms sale information, schedule

  • Sept. 26 – Grant will present “Year-Round Earth-Kind Bulbs for the South” on the Smith County Master Gardeners YouTube page and on their website. He will also cover sale highlights and provide the online sale and conference registration information.
  • Oct. 3 – Online store will open at 7 a.m.
  • Oct. 11 – Online store will close at 10 p.m.
  • Oct. 15 – Online purchase pickup day at Pollard United Methodist Church. In-person mini-sale in parking lot across from the church.
