We see all the amazing things the Texas Extension Education Association (EEA) does, but not everyone knows the scope of this association’s activities. The Texas Extension Education Association, Inc. (TEEA) is an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Texas families through educational programs, leadership development, and community service. In collaboration with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, TEEA provides lifelong learning opportunities that focus on improving family and community life across the state.

A Mission of Education and Service
TEEA’s mission is clear: to strengthen and enrich families by offering educational programs, leadership training, and opportunities for community service. These efforts help individuals and communities build skills that promote well-being and enhance everyday life.

A Vision for the Future
TEEA envisions itself as Texas’ leading volunteer organization for family support and lifelong learning. The association works to ensure that its programs reach people of all backgrounds, including those across different ethnicities, ages, and abilities. By fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, TEEA strives to enhance the quality of life for all Texans.

Leadership and Community Engagement
One of TEEA’s standout initiatives is the Public Policy and Leadership (PPAL) program, which focuses on leadership development, particularly for Texas women. This program serves as a platform to help individuals become active leaders in their communities, driving positive change and addressing local needs. Additionally, TEEA promotes community service as a way for members to express charitable interests and contribute to the enrichment of their neighborhoods. The association encourages youth and adults alike to grow through educational and service-oriented activities, helping them reach their fullest potential.

Strengthening Communication and Collaboration
TEEA fosters strong communication among its members, other Extension clientele, and related organizations with shared goals. By working alongside the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, TEEA extends adult education programs that meet the evolving needs of Texas families and communities. Through its dedication to lifelong learning, leadership development, and community engagement, TEEA continues to be an essential force in enhancing the lives of individuals and strengthening communities across Texas.
