Faith Academy Lady Knights took care of Briarwood High School in 3 straights sets in the season opener on the road Aug. 7th. “We worked through a lot of mistakes but were able to finish the job.  We applied these learning opportunities in our daily practice, as we prepared to travel to Cypress and face Covenant Academy.”

On the road again Aug 8, there was much improvement from the previous match as we took care of Covenant Academy Lady Patriots 25-20, 25-4, and 25-8.   “We had much better team work and communication”.

Next up, Aug. 11, was Rice Consolidated Lady Patriots.  The Lady Knights fell 1-3 ( 23-25, 25-14, 24-26, 20-25) to RCHS.  “The Lady Knights showed a higher and more competitive tempo.  We started to gel more as a team. Though we have 7 freshman on our Varsity roster this season and only 2 seniors, we know the task at hand and are prepared to rise to the challenge. I believe we only continue to get better day by day as we set our sights deep into the season”.

The Lady Knights head to Royal HS Tuesday 8/15 .

Player of the Week:  Jayme Perkins, (Freshman) as she led the charge with 32 Service aces on the week.
