The Kroger Co. has launched a new Verified Savings program that offers a 20% discount on fruits and vegetables and reduced-price grocery delivery memberships for eligible customers receiving government assistance.

The program is available to customers who participate in programs such as SNAP, WIC and Medicaid. Eligible shoppers can enroll online through SheerID, a verification service that confirms eligibility. Once approved, enrollment is valid for five months, after which customers must reverify to remain in the program.

“Making fresh food more affordable and equipping more customers with free grocery delivery is an incredible step in expanding food access,” said Carlo Baldan, Kroger group vice president of fresh merchandising. “With the launch of the Verified Savings program, we are thrilled to make fruits and vegetables more affordable and eliminate one more barrier to food security in our mission to end hunger.”

The 20% produce discount is automatically loaded to a customer’s Kroger digital account after enrollment. A Kroger Shopper’s Card and digital account are required. The discount applies to qualifying fruits and vegetables through Jan. 31, 2026.

Verified Savings participants are also eligible for half-price Boost by Kroger Plus memberships. Discounted plans include Boost Essential at $34.50 per year or $4.50 per month and Boost at $49.50 per year or $6.50 per month. Existing Boost members who qualify can apply the discount at renewal or when extending their membership.

Boost memberships include benefits such as free grocery delivery on qualifying orders, double fuel points on purchases and access to select streaming services for annual members, along with exclusive promotions throughout the year.

Customers can enroll in the Verified Savings program and learn more about eligibility requirements through Kroger’s website.
