Knights Lose First District Game

The Faith Academy Knights squared off their first district game with Kingwood Covenant Prep on Tuesday November 28 at Beth Keaton Gymnasium.   The Knights were defeated 49-20.  Pierce Newcomb led the way with 13 points and 4 steals.  The leading rebounders for the Knights were Miguel Guerrero with 5 and Cameron Crawford with 4.

The Knights next faced Bryan Still Creek on Friday December 1 at Beth Keaton Gymnasium for a non-district contest.  The Knights played well and defeated Still Creek 62-41.  The top scorers for the Knights were Pierce Newcomb with 22, Cameron Crawford with 18, Brody Schiller with 9, and Miguel Guerrero with 7.  The Knights leading rebounders were Newcomb and Schiller with 8 apiece and Nathan Taake with 6.  The quickness of the Knights forced many turnovers for Still Creek. Leading the team with 5 steals each were Guerrero, Newcomb, and Schiller.

The Knights now have a season record of 1-5 and a district record of 0-1.  The Player of the Week for the Knights is Cameron Crawford with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.
