What you'll do
- Organize patient care using the nursing process and established hospital and nursing department policies.
- Monitor patients’ behavioral and physiological status, responding to age-related needs and the needs of patients with disabilities.
- Apply the hospital’s customer relations philosophy, including the five fundamentals of the AIDET program.
- Maintain and improve nursing knowledge and skills, and participate in quality improvement activities.
What you'll bring
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas; CPR and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk extensively, lift and transfer patients, and perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
- Work rotational shifts, holidays and weekends as needed, with occasional irregular hours and emergency or crisis situations.
- Arrive at 6:45 a.m. for scheduled morning shifts or 6:45 p.m. for scheduled evening shifts to complete chart review.
