Dispatcher – Brenham ISD

Brenham ISD is seeking a Dispatcher for its Transportation Department. In this role, you will help support safe, efficient, and economical transportation services for the district.

What you'll do

• Answer incoming phone calls, direct callers appropriately, and assist the Administrative Assistant of Transportation as needed.
• Coordinate bus drivers, routes, vehicles, and substitutes for morning and afternoon shifts.
• Coordinate extracurricular transportation for the district and maintain daily activity logs.
• Help maintain bus-routing data and post route schedules to support transportation planning.
• Drive a bus as a substitute bus driver when needed.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED; Class B CDL or Class A with Passenger Endorsement; Texas Bus Driver Certification.
• Three years of experience as a certified school bus driver preferred.
• Effective telephone and radio communication skills, including the ability to receive and give verbal instructions.
• Proficient map-reading skills, basic math skills, and the ability to operate a bus.
• Ability to use word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and specialized transportation routing, planning, and trip-scheduling programs.

Pay: $20.81 per hour
