Bring your attention to detail and problem-solving skills to an Accountant role supporting The Brookwood Community’s mission in Brookshire. You’ll work alongside the Staff Accountant and report to the Chief Financial Officer.
What you'll do
- Reconcile bank and credit card merchant accounts, researching and resolving transaction issues.
- Review revenue from retail stores and the Café to ensure accurate reporting.
- Manage fixed asset processes, including recording acquisitions, calculating depreciation, and preparing audit schedules.
- Manage Citizen home accounts and prepare extraordinary-expense statements for their families.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and the annual operating budget.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of two years of accounting experience.
- Non-profit or fund accounting experience and familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge are strong pluses.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and an interest in solving problems.
