The varsity Knights were in action twice this last week going 1-1. The Knights beat Still Creek Christian on Tuesday by a score 45-34. The Knights played great defense and were clicking on offense. Scoring for the Knights were Travis Woodley with 13, Gabe Mikeska with 11, Josh Stark with 7, CT Pillow with 5, Everett Yates with 5, Wyatt Davis and Tayte Plumb with 2.

The Knights fell short to Flatonia 59-31. Flatonia is coming off a trip to the 2A State Tournament last season. The Knights played hard but could not get shots to fall. Scoring for the Knights were CT Pillow with 11, Gabe Mikeska with 9, Travis Woodley with 4, Gage Wilson with 3, Dyllan Olivares with 3 and Riley Heyman with 1.
The JV Knights also played Flatonia losing 34-25.

Varsity players of the week are:
Josh Stark, So, who was instrumental in the win against Still Creek Christian playing great defense and was a spark on offense.
Everett Yates, Jr, who battled the entire week inside against much bigger opponents.

JV players of the week are:
Kelton Galle, Fr, for his tremendous hustle
Ellis Lanham, Fr, for his amazing attitude and coachability
Clayton Hansen, Jr, for his work ethic.

The Knights will be off this week but will be back in action on Tuesday February 13 at home against Shiner for their final regular season game. JV will start at 5 followed by the Varsity. The varsity will then travel to Round Rock on February 15 and 16 for the TAIAO Regional Basketball Tournament held at the Round Rock Sports Complex.
