The Sealy City Council was given a full presentation on the new ambulance station that the Austin County EMS would like to have built.  The facility will have several bays to house ambulances as well as crew quarters.  But, the biggest change will be that it will be the new headquarters of the Austin County EMS.  Ron Dille explained that things are beginning to become cramped being stationed in the basement of the Austin County Courthouse in Bellville.  The move would be a win/win for Sealy and the county as the move would allow ambulances be near the higher call volume of the Sealy area, especially with Interstate 10 passing through.  Keep in mind this is only proposed as agreements will have to be reached between Sealy and the county as well as a final dollar amount for the facility being agreed upon.
