The Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin County is preparing for another busy summer season, offering local children and teens a safe and engaging place to spend their summer days while school is out. Club officials recently announced important schedule updates along with details about the organizationโ€™s upcoming Summer Program.

The Club will be closed from Friday, May 29 through Friday, June 5 as staff prepare for summer activities and programming. The summer session officially begins Monday, June 8 and will continue through July 31. Operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Summer registration is now open for children ages 6 through 18. The one-time summer fee is $50 per child. Activities planned throughout the summer include games, field trips, gym activities, art projects, computer lab access, and game room activities designed to keep students active, social, and learning during the break.

The Club will also offer an Early Bird Program from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. for families needing earlier drop-off times. The cost for the early program is $15 per week or $5 per day.

Returning members who are already current Club participants do not need to complete a new registration form. New families can register online through the Clubโ€™s membership form.

Located at 1815 S. Tesch Road in Bellville, the Boys & Girls Club serves as much more than just a summer childcare option. Organizations like the Boys & Girls Club play an important role in communities by providing children with a safe environment, positive role models, educational opportunities, and structured activities that help build confidence, leadership skills, and friendships.

For many working families, the Club also provides peace of mind knowing their children are spending time in a supervised setting focused on learning, teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. Summer programs help keep students mentally and socially engaged during months when many children may otherwise lack structure or access to enrichment opportunities.

Club officials encourage families to register early, as space is limited.
