**UPDATE from the City of Sealy – This Boil Water Notice is ONLY for customers LOCATED ON SEALY RD, DOWNEY RD, AND GARLAND LN ***

Due to a water line break on the northeast side of town (see map below), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the City of Sealy to issue a Boil Water Notice for all customers of the public water system until further notice. Please share this information with others.

What You Need to Do:

Until further notice, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing hands and face should be boiled prior to use. To ensure safety:

  • Bring water to a vigorous rolling boil for at least two minutes.
  • Let it cool before use.

As an alternative, you may use bottled water or obtain water from a safe, approved source.

Whoโ€™s Most at Risk:

Children, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems are especially vulnerable to harmful bacteria that may be present in untreated water. All customers should take precautions and boil water until further notice.

What Happens Next:

When the water is confirmed safe to drink, the City of Sealy will notify the public and officially lift the Boil Water Notice through a similar announcement.

Please Help Spread the Word:

Share this City of Sealy boil water notice with anyone in the area who may not have received it directlyโ€”such as residents in apartments, nursing homes, schools, or businesses. Post publicly or share by text, email or phone call as needed.
