The Blinn College men’s basketball team remained undefeated with a big 86-68 victory over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid on Monday at the Elite 8 Shootout in Enid, Okla.ย
The Buccaneers (3-0) pulled away from the host Jets in the second half and left Oklahoma with a 2-0 run at the Shootout.ย
“The movement on offense โ both at a personnel level and with the ball โ was very good, and defensively the effort was there from start to finish,” Blinn head coachย Scott Schumacherย said. “Today was a big win for our program and our guys, and we’re very thrilled to go 2-0 at this tournament.”ย

Schumacher said team depth helped the Bucs run away from North Oklahoma after the two teams went into halftime with Blinn leading just 35-34.ย
“Our depth wore them out and we just kept on rolling,” added Schumacher.ย
The Bucs were led offensively by five players who finished with at least 11 points.ย ย
Sophomore guardย Nick Folkย had 17 points, sophomore guardย Masiah Gilyardย scored 16, sophomore guardย Patrick Nealย tallied 15, freshman forwardย Anthony Isaacย chipped in 14, and sophomore forwardย Jamine Charlesย added 11. Freshman guardย Reese Millerย posted seven points.ย

Up next, Blinn will host the third-annual Blue Bell Classic beginning Friday, Nov. 10 at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas. The Bucs take on Dallas College-North Lake at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dallas College-Cedar Valley at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, and the University of Arkansas-Cossatot at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12.ย
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 44 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
