The Blinn College cheer and dance programs celebrated their recent national championship success Saturday with a special ring ceremony at the Kruse Center in Brenham.

Blinn cheerleaders and dancers were presented with their National Cheer Association (NCA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA) championship rings in recognition of their performances at the 2025 NCA & NDA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida.

At the 2025 national competition, Blinn’s dance team captured its third consecutive Pom Junior College Division national championship and added a Dance Spirit Rally Open title, marking the second straight season the program earned two national championships. The cheer team also delivered a championship performance, earning the Advanced All Girl Junior College national title — the program’s first national championship since 2019.

With those victories, Blinn dance now holds 13 NDA national championships, while Blinn cheer has earned eight NCA national titles.

Head coach Sarah Barland, now in her 17th year leading the programs, and cheer coach Amanda Logback oversaw the ceremony, which recognized both current athletes and returning alumni. Several former team members traveled back to Brenham to attend the event, highlighting the strong alumni connection within the Blinn cheer and dance programs.

Looking ahead, Blinn cheer and dance will return to Daytona Beach April 8–11, 2026, for the next NCA & NDA College Nationals as they prepare for another national title run.

Blinn College has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and has captured 53 national championships since 1987.
