The Bellville FFA had a successful start to their Career Development Events (CDE) season as several of their teams competed in various competitions on a recent busy day. The teams participated in the Klein FFA Invitational, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Floriculture Contest, and the Texas State Livestock Judging Contest.

In the Forages category, Bellville FFA’s team secured a remarkable 1st place. Individual performances were also noteworthy, with James Schumann earning the 2nd High Individual award, while Jack Luedeker and Kash Krueger claimed the 4th and 5th High Individual awards, respectively.

The Nursery/Landscape team also made an impressive showing, clinching 2nd place as a team. On the individual front, Levi Malinowski stood out, securing the 2nd High Individual award. Matthew Wybro and Layne Malinowski also contributed to the team’s success by earning the 7th and 9th High Individual awards, respectively.

In the Floral category, the Bellville FFA team secured the 6th place position. Notably, Lauren Lassus performed exceptionally well and claimed the 3rd High Individual award, while Lydia Huebner earned the 7th High Individual award.

The Poultry and Land teams both secured the 13th place positions in their respective categories. Meanwhile, the Livestock team secured the 15th place position in their competition.

In the Entomology category, Bellville FFA’s team secured the 20th place position, showcasing their knowledge and skills in the study of insects. Finally, in the Vet Tech category, the team secured the 41st place position.

Bellville FFA expressed their satisfaction with the teams’ performance and looks forward to seeing how they progress throughout the semester.
