The Beef & Forage Committee of Austin County, in collaboration with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will host a Beef Cattle Management Seminar on Friday, March 21, 2025. The seminar will take place at the Four County Auction Center, located at 15900 TX HWY 159 in Industry, Texas.

Registration for the event will begin at 12:30 pm, with presentations scheduled to run from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The cost of the seminar is $30 per person, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP with the Austin County Extension Office by calling 979-865-2072 or by registering online at Austin County AgriLife.

 

 

The seminar will feature sessions on:

  • Why Prescribed Fire – Presented by Calan Coleman with The Nature Conservancy
  • Using Drones for Herbicide Management – Presented by Justin Hale with Ignition Land Services
  • Plant Identification

Participants will earn three Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the Texas Department of Agriculture, including one hour in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and two hours in General (GEN) categories.
