On October 22, 2025, patrol deputies with the Austin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 6000 block of FM 1094 in Sealy, Texas.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with individuals at the residence and determined an assault had occurred. During the assault investigation, Christopher Mann was identified as the suspect. Deputies also confirmed that Mann is a convicted felon currently on probation for a prior Assault Family Violence charge.

 

 

A search of the residence led to the recovery of two firearms. Mann was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Austin County Jail, where he was booked on the following charges:

  • Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Member
    Class A Misdemeanor — punishable by up to 1 year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine.
  • Interference with Emergency Request for Assistance
    Class A Misdemeanor — carries a potential penalty of up to 1 year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine for preventing or disconnecting a 911 call.
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
    Third-Degree Felony — punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

Christopher Mann was released to jail staff without further incident. All suspects are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
