The Austin County Sheriffโs Office is actively seeking the publicโs assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of identity theft and credit card fraud cases affecting residents in Austin County and surrounding areas.ย
The individual, described as an unknown white male, used stolen personal information on June 2, 2025, to apply for and obtain a credit card at the Bass Pro Shops location in Pearland, Texas. He then used the fraudulent card to make in-store purchases. Investigators believe the same man is connected to another incident in which he secured a Walgreens credit account using someone elseโs identity. He made unauthorized purchases at the Walgreens store located at Westheimer and S. Mason Road.
Law enforcement officials have reason to believe this suspect may be involved in additional identity theft and fraud cases throughout the Austin County area and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
