The Austin County Sheriff’s Office released the following press statement on yesterdays apprehension:
On Monday, December 7, 2015, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Burglary of a Habitation and a Robbery that occurred on Mixville Road in Sealy. The suspects left the location in a Black Cadillac Escalade.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Alejandro Barrera, 31 years old, from Brookshire, Texas in Waller County on warrants for Burglary and Robbery out of Austin County. Barrera was placed into the Waller County Jail and later transferred to the Austin County Jail.
Barrera was charged with Burglary of a Habitation, Felony II and Robbery, Felony II, with a total bond of $150,000.
Our Austin County Investigator did an outstanding job of obtaining evidence and apprehending the suspect in short period of time.
“This sends a message to those who continue to engage in illegal activities that we will arrest them and put them in jail where they belong,” says Sheriff Jack Brandes.
