Description
Join Baylor Scott & White Health’s outpatient Therapy Services team at BSWH Hospital Brenham, providing care to restore patients’ speech, language and swallowing abilities. This full-time position works Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, treat and monitor patients, adjusting speech pathology treatment plans and goals as needed.
- Complete timely clinical documentation, enter charges accurately and maintain knowledge of reimbursement requirements.
- Communicate with the care team and educate patients, families and staff about speech pathology care.
- Supervise students and volunteers, following applicable American Speech-Language-Hearing Association guidelines for clinical fellowship supervision.
- Advance clinical skills through continuing education, literature review and evidence-based practice, sharing knowledge with colleagues.
What you'll bring
- Master’s degree and completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year required.
- Must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist or capable of obtaining licensure in Texas.
- At least three years of experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer if not already held.
- Strong oral and written communication, teamwork, leadership and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment; strong attention to detail and effective multitasking.
