The Bellville Lions Club and Boys & Girls Club of Austin County are inviting families, businesses, churches, civic groups and individuals to help make the second annual Community-Wide Halloween Block Party an even bigger celebration for local children and families.
Last year’s event was a great success, and organizers hope to build on that momentum this year. Their message is simple: stronger kids make a brighter community. They hope broad community participation will help the Halloween block party grow into an annual tradition.
There are three ways to participate:
-Decorate a vehicle for a Trunk-or-Treat stop
-Host a Halloween activity table
-Volunteer to help run a game table that is already set up.
Trunk and table hosts may offer games, candy or prizes.
Organizers also plan to award a gift card for the best-decorated trunk. Families and individuals are welcome to participate even if they are not representing a business or organization.
The block party is scheduled for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Concordia Hall, 952 S. Tesch St. in Bellville.
Those interested in hosting a trunk or table, or volunteering, are asked to confirm their participation by Oct. 13. For more information or to request a late add, contact Sharon Stephens with the Boys & Girls Club of Austin County at 979-865-2733 or [email protected].
