Job Overview

Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize inventory within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure efficient warehouse distribution, accurate inventory management, and smooth shipping and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload materials
• Pick and prepare orders accurately using barcode scanning systems and order picker equipment
• Manage inventory by organizing stock within the warehouse and updating warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are properly documented
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for repairs to ensure safe operation
• Follow forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and safety standards in production to prevent accidents
• Support manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials transfer while adhering to proper ergonomic practices

Requirements

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo loaders
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
• Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse distribution is a plus but not required
• Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications like reach truck or cherry picker are advantageous

Pay: Up to $16.25 per hour
