Austin County 4-H members and their families are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of local youth during the 2026 Austin County 4-H Awards Banquet on Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Wallis Columbus Club Hall, located at 703 Columbus Road in Wallis.

Hosted this year by the Wallis and Frydek 4-H Clubs, the annual banquet recognizes the hard work, leadership, community service and achievements of Austin County 4-H members throughout the past year. The 2026 theme, “4-H: Growing Together and Leading Forever,” reflects the organization’s focus on developing leadership skills, citizenship and lifelong learning through hands-on experiences.

Registration for the banquet will begin at 4 p.m., with dinner scheduled to be served at 4:30 p.m.

Austin County Extension officials are asking all members and guests planning to attend to RSVP in advance by completing the online Eventbrite registration form. Completing the registration helps organizers finalize seating and meal counts for the event.

4-H members who will be recognized during the banquet will receive a complimentary meal ticket. Family members and additional guests are welcome to attend and may purchase banquet meal tickets for $17.85 each.

Organizers remind attendees that Monday, Aug. 3, is the deadline to RSVP and purchase guest meal tickets. No additional meal tickets will be available after that date, so families are encouraged to register early.

In addition to reserving seats for the banquet, members are also asked to complete the required Recognition Form as part of the registration process.

The Austin County 4-H Awards Banquet is one of the organization’s signature annual events, bringing together members, volunteers, families and supporters to recognize outstanding accomplishments and celebrate another successful year of 4-H in Austin County.
