Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary/Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare. This role is essential in providing support to veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for assisting with medical procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and providing exceptional care to pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments.
• Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, walking and administering medications as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by regularly cleaning and disinfecting kennels, paly areas and equipment.
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any changes to the veterinarian.
• Assist with laboratory tasks such as sample collection and processing.
• Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and handling client inquiries as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information using veterinary terminology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a veterinary clinic is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
