The Bellville Brahmanette volleyball team has once again proven itself as a powerhouse, securing a spot in the 2024 Texas state tournament. With a phenomenal season, the team demonstrated consistency and resilience, culminating in a commanding 3-1 victory over Davenport High School in the regional finals. This win solidified their place in the state semifinals, where they aim to continue their tradition of excellence.
Under the leadership of Hall of Fame coach Susan Brewer, the Brahmanettes have built a legacy of dominance. Brewer has guided Bellville to more than 15 state tournament appearances, including a remarkable run of eight consecutive trips in the 1990s. She has led the team to nine state titles and has amassed 32 district championships over her career. This season, the team’s success is attributed to a combination of experienced leadership and team talent.
In the upcoming state semifinal, Bellville will face the Aubrey Chaparrals, a team known for its competitive edge and past success. Aubrey previously defeated Bellville in a state semifinal, adding an element of redemption to this year’s matchup. The game is set to take place on November 19 at the Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Tickets can be purchased online at the UIL website. For those who are unable to attend you can listen to the game beginning at 6pm on Bellville Sports.
