SEALY, Texas – The City of Sealy, Sealy Economic Development Corporation and Austin County Officials are proud to announce that the Sika Corporation, an international company, has selected Sealy for its new manufacturing campus.

Sika Corporation has selected the City of Sealy as a great location to strengthen their position for its core products and technologies with excellent access to its customers and to serve the major metropolitan areas in the state of Texas. As part of the master campus plan for the development of the 40 acre location at 3000 FM 3538, a new factory will be constructed for the production and distribution of high performance mortars and grouts as well as a wide range of concrete admixtures. The building will also contain laboratories and sales offices as well as a training center to educate customers and applicators on Sika’s technologies. The factory will generate new jobs in the area and will be the 19th production facility in Sika’s network throughout the United States. As Sika is committed to investing in its core technologies, plans for future expansions on the new site are currently in development. “We at Sika are excited to become a long-term partner with Sealy, the people, and the entire local area” Herbert Zwartkruis, EVP Operations says. “Over the last nine months of diligently working on this project, we felt very welcomed and have always had good discussions in a very cooperative environment working towards mutually beneficial solutions. My special thanks go to Mayor Mark Stolarski and City Manager Larry Kuciemba, members of the Sealy City Council, Sealy EDC board members, and foremost Kim Meloneck, Executive Director of the Sealy Economic Development Corporation. One important reason for the success of Sika is our people. We live in our organization by what we call the ‘Sika-Spirit’ and we felt the same spirit working together with the City of Sealy.”
