Sealy, Texas – In a press release issued today, the Sealy Police Department announced the arrest of a male suspect out of San Antonio for possession of over 11 pounds of methamphetamine and possession of illegal currency.

The arrest was made on the evening of January 12, 2023 at approximately 9pm, when Officer Torres conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on IH-10 at the 717 milepost. Following an investigation, it was determined that the driver was in possession of the illegal narcotics and currency.

As a result of the investigation, over 5000 grams (11 pounds) of Methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of US currency were seized by the Sealy Police Department. The driver was arrested and charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a 1st Degree Felony.

The Sealy Police Department would like to remind the public that possession of large amounts of illegal drugs can result in severe penalties and emphasizes their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the community.
