Boil Water Notice Rescinded per the Wallis City Website
On 1/13/2025 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Wallis public water system, TX0080015, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.

1/13/25 Boil Water Notice for City of Wallis Customers
Due to an electrical issue and a loss of water pressure, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has directed the City of Wallis public water system to inform all customers to boil their water before use. This includes activities such as washing hands or face, brushing teeth, drinking, and preparing food. Children, seniors, and individuals with weakened immune systems are especially at risk from harmful bacteria, so it is crucial that everyone follows these precautions.
To eliminate harmful bacteria and other microbes, all water for drinking, cooking, or making ice should be boiled and cooled before use. Bring the water to a vigorous rolling boil, maintain the boil for two minutes, and then allow it to cool.
As an alternative to boiling, customers may use bottled water or another safe water source for drinking or consumption purposes.
The City of Wallis will notify customers when it is no longer necessary to boil the water. At that time, a follow-up notice will be issued to rescind this advisory.
