Wallis Texas is mourning the loss of their mayor, Dennis Louis Diggs, who passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022.  Mayor Diggs had continued to serve in the position of Mayor until recently when health issues forced him to pull back from his duties in the past few months.  He was serving his second term in office as mayor for the City of Wallis.

“Funeral Service for Dennis Louis Diggs are scheduled for 2pm Sunday October 23, 2022, at Zion Hill Baptist Church 1318 Franklin Street Brookshire, TX 77423 With: Pastor David McDonald, Eulogist. Visitation will be held at Zion Hill on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 1 pm to 2 pm.  Visitation will be held at Gooden Funeral Home on Saturday October 22, 2022, from 12 noon to 5 pm and on Saturday night at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Brookshire 6pm to 9pm. Burial in Hillside Cemetery 724 FM 1458 Wallis, TX 77485. Mr. Diggs passed away at the age of 78.
