The Austin County Republican Party held another candidate forum at Tony’s in place of their regularly scheduled meeting last night.  All the candidates were present except for Mat McArthur who is running for Austin County Constable Precinct 4 position against the current Constable of Precinct 4, James Clark.

Shop Austin County 300 x 600 Second TryEach candidate took turns giving their introductions after which the floor was opened up questions from the audience.  Some questions were directed at specific candidates, others were directed to the candidate panel as a whole.  The forum closed just before 9 pm with the candidates giving their closing statements before mingling with the adjourning crowd.

The video below of the nights events has been broken up into three parts:

  • Part 1 – The first video is of the opening and candidate introductions.
  • Part 2 – The second is of the question and answer period of the forum.
  • Part 3 – The final video is of the candidate’s closing remarks to the audience.

We hope that you find the videos informative and encourage everyone to make your vote count in March.

(For those who notice a difference in audio from the last forum, there was a complete speaker set-up that had been provided at the first forum.  This allowed us to capture the audio feed from the multiple microphones circulating the room.  This time, there was only the omni-directional microphone that we brought, that can be seen at the front of the room, to capture the candidates voices.  We apologize for any difficulty you may have in hearing questions from the audience.)
