The No. 7-ranked Blinn College volleyball team enters the NJCAA Region XIV Volleyball Championship Tournament as the frontrunner April 1-3 in the Cardinal Gym in Athens, Texas.

The Buccaneers are the tournament’s No. 1 seed after finishing the season with a 21-1 overall record and a 12-1 conference record to claim the Region XIV conference championship. They will face the No. 6 seed Coastal Bend College on Thursday, April 1, at 9 a.m.

The regional tournament consists of the top eight teams from the region. Three of the eight teams in the tournament hold a top-20 ranking in the NJCAA. The teams that will join the Buccaneers on the court are No. 9 Navarro College, Tyler Junior College, No. 17 Panola College, Trinity Valley Community College, Coastal Bend, Wharton County Junior College, and Victoria College.

The top two teams from the tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship in West Plains, Mo., April 15-17.

Admission is $5 for individual games and $20 for tournament passes at the gate. There will be no re-entry. T-shirts will be available for $15.
