TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD
AUSTIN – (July 7, 2021) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $41,566,157 for water, wastewater, and flood projects.
· $1,000,000 to the Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District (Armstrong, Carson, Donley, Gray, Hutchinson, Potter, Roberts, and Wheeler counties) for an agricultural water conservation loan program
· $300,000 to the Evadale Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Jasper County) for water system improvements
· $35,265,000 to the Green Valley Special Utility District (Guadalupe County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
