In Game 1, freshmanย Cole Smajstrlaย hit his third home run of the season in the fifth inning, a two-run shot to put Blinn on the board.
Blinn finished with two hits and Angelina scored 10 unearned runs.
In Game 2, the Buccaneers scored three runs in the third inning and two in the fifth, but the Roadrunners eked out the one-run win.
Freshmanย Chase Arnaudย finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Bucs, and freshmenย Luke Nailย andย Bo Rodgersย also drove in runs for Blinn.ย Freshman relieverย Will Grossย took the loss.
Blinn resumes its season against No. 1-ranked McLennan Community College at 1 p.m. Friday in Waco, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42ย NJCAA national championships since 1987.
