Yesterday at around 7:57 AM the Austin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a possible suicide. ย The location was at the 8400 block of N.E. I-10 Frontage Rd. in Sealy. ย When the deputies arrived at 8:01 they found a blue Toyota Tundra pickup, as described by the caller, with aย maleย individual inside who was deceased by a single gunshot wound (wound location was not disclosed). ย The individual was identified as Ashlan Oneil Jeffers, age 27 from Baytown, Texas. ย Justice of the Peace ย Precinct 4 Bernice Burger performed the inquest. ย The case is still under investigation and no further information was releasedย at this time. ย We will update this story if and when more information becomes available.
