Seven Blinn College baseball players have been selected to represent the Region XIV Conference South Zone in the annual Texas – New Mexico Junior College Baseball All-Star Weekend Sept. 26-27 at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas.

Catcher James Duval, third baseman Caden Williams, outfielder Jager Toffan, first baseman Stephen Stuart, left-handed pitchers Christian Thames and Seth Ballew and right-handed pitcher Shane McCarley were each selected for the Region XIV South squad, which will be coached by the Blinn coaching staff.

The team is voted on by the Region XIV Conference coaches. The Region XIV South all-stars will play at noon Sept. 26 against Region V West and at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 27 against Region V North. Both Region V teams are out of New Mexico.

The Buccaneers are coming off their first appearance at the Junior College World Series in 22 years. Blinn finished fifth in the tournament, defeating Cochise (Ariz.) 7-4 in its opener, then topping No. 1-ranked Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) 10-2. Blinn qualified for the World Series by defeating Alvin in the Region XIV Conference Tournament championship.
