The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present the webinar “Pesticide Recordkeeping and Complaints” on Oct. 6 as part of its ongoing Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, RWFM, Stewardship Series.

The event will run from noon to 1 p.m. Cost is $35, and advance registration is required at https://tx.ag/RWFMOctWeb22 prior to Oct. 5. After payment has been received, a follow-up email will be sent from the event organizer with instructions on how to access the webinar.

One Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit in laws and regulations will be available.

RWFM series guest speaker and topics

The guest speaker is Perry Cervantes, Texas Department of Agriculture coordinator for pesticide certification and compliance, Austin. The Texas Department of Agriculture is the lead regulatory agency enforcing pesticide laws in the state.

Among the topics covered by Cervantes will be:

  • 2022 laws and regulations updates.
  • Pesticide applicator recordkeeping.
  • Pesticide complaints.
  • Direct supervision of pesticides.
  • Pesticide waste disposal program.
