The seventh-ranked Blinn College women’s golf team concluded the two-day Cardinal Challenge with a sixth-place finish Tuesday at the Beaumont Country Club in Beaumont, Texas.
Texas State University won the seven-team competition hosted by Lamar State University.ย
The Buccaneers were one of just two NJCAA programs in a tournament otherwise populated by NCAA Division I programs.
Blinn’s team of four was led by freshmanย Abigail O’Brien, who finished tied for 12th place at 15-over par. Freshman sistersย Daniah Syed and ย finished tied for 16th and 18th place at 17- and 19-over, respectively.
The Bucs continue their season when they co-host the two-day Blinn Invitational with the Blinn men’s team on Monday, April 7, at the Brenham County Club in Brenham, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 50 national championships since 1987
